Here is where you have the opportunity to become a Native American and a Pioneer. You are no longer a student at Eugene Elementary, you must become your character. This narrative piece should tie in aspects from every lesson so that it is as authentic as possible. Here are a few keys to writing a solid narrative:
- is told from a particular point of view
- makes and supports a point
- is filled with precise detail
- uses vivid verbs and modifiers
- uses conflict and sequence as does any story
- may use dialogue
Please think long and hard about how you want to portray your characters, and remember to respect both the Natives and Pioneers tradition and heritage.
